Everflon™ PTFE MVP: The Thermoplastic Compounding Solution

Everflon™ PTFE MVP is a finely milled polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) micropowder that is especially suitable for thermoplastic applications. It may also be used for compounding in rubber and thermoset products. A key differentiator is its intermediate particle size (Average 17 µm), which, combined with a rounded particle shape, permits mixing into high-viscosity systems and dry blends without further particle breakdown or significant viscosity increases. Processing and Application Focus

The MVP grade facilitates easy dispersion, often requiring only simple tumble mixing for dry blends with thermoplastic powders (not exceeding 150 microns). It significantly contributes to reducing surface abrasion, friction, and wear when added to high-viscosity specialty lubricants designed for use under high pressure. Its purity and low volatility also make it a preferred choice for specialized molded parts.
